our newest black belts

"We would like to say that S. B. Kim's class is an excellent class to take for those children and adults that would like to learn self-defense.  Tom at first was shy about getting into the class.  Once he made it through the door to actually watch a class he became less shy.  A classmate began to talk to him and his confidence grew.  He quickly participated in the class due to the camaraderie of the students in the class.  The teaching methods are such that no matter what belt levels you begin with you are an equal to everyone else in the teacher's eye.  Master Kim and Ms. Kristi teach at the level appropriate to the level of the student.  They are both very professional in their teaching methodologies.  Tom Loves the class and we are overjoyed that he has an outlet to get his energy out all the while learning self-defense and learning discipline plus teamwork.  Thank you both". student of the month

My name is Cole Tippery.  I am 9 years old, and am in the 4th grade at Everett Dirksen Elementary School.  I have been participating in martial arts since September 2015, and am currently a red belt.  My favorite kick is the Dragon Kick.  I attend classes with my mom and my sister, Jessica.

When I am not at martial arts classes, you can find me practicing piano, which I have been doing since August 2017.  I also take swimming lessons, and have recently      rejoined the Schaumburg Children’s Choir.  I attend Willow Creek Community Church, and am involved in the AWANA program.  I also serve there in the Special Friends ministry every other week, helping children who have   special needs.  I enjoy collecting Pokemon and Sports Cards, and like to watch college and professional football and basketball games.  I like to watch live performances too.  The last show that I saw with my family was School of Rock, and it was awesome!

I enjoy spending time with my family, which consists of my mom, dad and sister (6).  I also have a brother (27) and a niece who is 18 months old, so that makes me an      uncle.  I have a 9 year old yellow lab named Chance and a one year old Shih Tzu/Maltese mix named Rosie.

Through Grandmaster Kim and Master Kristi’s guidance, I have learned          discipline and focus, and I have become mentally and physically stronger.
